Rest and Relaxation
10 days in Puerto Vallarta.
I’m feeling beyond blessed sitting here having a cup of coffee, reading my substack notes, and looking at the beautiful Bay of Banderas in Puerto Vallarta. My sister-in-law has a condominium in an old section with lovely Adobe apartments and a restaurant, swimming pools, and beautiful palm trees and green grass ….And of course the beach. Dear friends blessed me with airfare and a trip that seemed way out of my budget suddenly became possible, and here I am. I was up before the sunrise and got to watch the day become colorful, listening to the birds, watching little geckos skittering across the patio, marveling at the several dozen iguanas of various sizes that roam the property.
The biggest blessing is the people with whom I am sharing this vacation ….my sister-in-law and two of her friends that over the years have become my friends, as well. The same group of us were here at the same place 10 years ago at the same time when my husband died at home. And they have supported me from that moment on, so being here now is a very special time for all of us. We can wash away the grief of that day, the tears, as we suddenly had to fly home and mourn the loss of our husband and brother and friend. We are relishing every experience and enjoying every moment and making memories every day. We know how fragile life can be and how important relationships are whether they are in a beautiful Mexican resort or in the mountains of North Idaho. No matter where we are in the world as long as we have Jesus and each other will be OK.

Lovely! You deserve this more than anyone I know. Blessings to you and your family 🥰
